About

stirlyn150.jpgThanks for visiting my photoblog. As a photographer, much of my work relates to people and on things that are really part of the ordinary everyday. I love the concept of doing street photography, even though often times I shrink from being the in-your-face street photographer or even the one who covertly takes pictures of people, so my ’street’ work contains much of the surrounding architecture or landscapes, with a few people portraits slipped into the mix.

The cameras I use

I started the picture-a-day project after being inspired by another blogger Benspark. For this work I use an Olympus FE-240 digital camera. It’s easy to carry around everyday, is small and unobtrusive. I also don’t have to worry that I have got up and walked away without it.

As time goes on I will be transferrng some of my earlier work from my main Photography website www.morlenefisher.com, as it is difficult for me to maintain the current quantity of websites that I have operating, and I find blogging a much more interactive and less static web platform. I look at my blogs everyday, I look at my other websites seldom. For my portrait work I use a Nikon D200 (previously Nikon D100 but I upgraded Yeah!)

I use film and digital and have a 35mm Nikon FM2n, and a couple of range finders, which although they haven’t been out recently, will be dusted off and taken out to play very soon. By far my favourite camera is my medium format Bronica ETRSI. The medium format blows everything else away and I can’t wait for the weather to settle a little so that I can start practicing some landscape work with it.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy what you see, and if you have time, please critique the work on show. It all helps me to grow.
